of love and marriage

Well, I’m not going to write about that (title). You can put down your eyebrows now. LOL!

But I’m going to list down some points of what I’ve become or what I’ve learned since I’ve fallen (or at some instances sunken) and birthin’ (haha).

It has taught me how to be (relatively) more patient as patience got more and more elusive when I got older. — I don’t know about you, but before I got married, I could have been the fiercest, impatient woman you would’ve ever known. Well, maybe you’d think I still am now. But really. Seriously.

It has taught me to be (relatively) more considerate. — I don’t fret that much anymore when a service is lousy or lame or a service crew gave me a wing instead of a thigh part of a chicken. Lol!

It has taught me about time and that it’s not all mine. — Take for instance when you’re preparing for a trip somewhere. If you only have yourself to prepare then I’d say you are ready to go, anytime. But when you’ve got a whole bunch of people and kids to bring then good luck with that. You just have to have to prepare an hour earlier than usual or else someone is going to run a bit late (and that could almost always happen all the time. Lol!).

It has taught me to get busy. — Why, aren’t wives and mothers not? And with that, I mean, urgent priorities are now in different shades of red. It used to be just red red. Now, the darker the shade of red, the more important it is. So there’s the really urgent, not so urgent, and the a–lil–bit–of–a–drama–queen urgent. Hihi.

It has taught me to try to take the time to understand people in respect of their mothers. — I am a mother, too. Ana lang.

It has taught me not to Que sera sera as much as I can. — If I can move mountains, I will. But of course, it is a given that I’ve warned the rest of the world. So that they can step aside and won’t get stomped in the process. Hihi.

It has taught me to (relatively) get over things as fast as I can. — Why, with the third and fourth points, how much time do we still have?

It has taught me that life is ‘pana-panahon ang pagkakataon’. — I remember I have once asked someone to rate her MS Word proficiency from 1 to 5, with 5 as the highest. She replied, “Four. I’ve been using it since I was in elementary.” Waaah! The first time I used MS Word was when I was in College. Lol! Seriously, that conversation brought me to a higher degree of consciousness. Suddenly, I thought of my life before all these computers came about. I thought about how once I was okay without it and how I still probably would be okay without it; and just indebted I had that so–called–time in my life and family and friends who have remained all through these years, online or not. =)

I probably still have a few more in my list but these points are all I can document for now. Toinks.

La lang. Share ko lang. Have a great day, y’all! =)

so true Jane..all these points (although i am not a mother)..

also, what you said about "in respect of their mother", i always follow that..the only reason i do not ever get annoyed and angry at anyone is because, i will always think they are someone elses child (no matter how adult they are)..;-) and you know me, weakness gyud nako ang mothers..i tend to like someone more if their moms are great;-) weird noh?LOL
