toddling food

moimmy still crazy over twizzlers

Like any other mother of toddlers, I am on a hunt for recipes of yummy and nutritious food for toddlers. Yet because I am like any other mother who thinks there’s nobody else who knows her daughter well but her (LOL!), I’d have to take into account the food she likes to eat and most likely to eat while doing the search. And because I am like any other mother who thinks she's the most extraordinary mother ever could be (LOL! again), I’m going to take this journey as seriously, basically, and practically as possible.

In the course of the journey I’ve noticed teeny-weeny (if that’s not enough) trivial things about my daughter which you may notice me working with when we’re together:

1. She prefers to drink the soup than have it mixed with rice. I should be proud. She’s into appetizer, main, and dessert course meals. LOL! Jk.

2. She likes gravies (much to the delight of her father who shares the liking) too much. This is why you’d see me hiding gravies from the table especially when we’re in Jollibee or McDo.

3. She loves ba-na-nas (much to my delight because I do, too). This is the most staple fruit in the house. I’ve just read recently that bananas can simulate the production of hemoglobin in the blood, and if you dip it into honey and eat it, it helps boost up depleted blood sugar levels. This is actually good because my daughter hates to take the iron supplement we’ve been trying to get her to drink. But then she loves bananas, so hurray!

4. She tends to get very busy when we go out or when we’re at a mall. Yes, “hyper” would be an understatement. :hide: So she tends to whisk her food away or just eat a little. This could be really frustrating. But we came up with a solution: we make sure she takes a meal in the house before we go out and before she gets to have some fun.

5. She’d rather have water. This all started when we took her pedia’s advice to heart to just stick to water than any other fluids. So she rarely drinks juice, and now if ever she drinks juice, she does so only in little amounts. Well, I know this isn’t really a concern at all. But it wouldn’t hurt if she (always) drinks water and some (relatively more) juice. Hehe.

I still have more to add to the list but I’ve written this much longer than I intended it to be. The longer this writing goes, the higher the chances I’d go off on a tangent. In fact, I'm beginning to think I'm just blabbing away. toinks. LOL!

But obviously, I'm just saying this is one of the things that are on my mind right now, and while I'm at it, I would want to hit two birds with one stone: share the mommy moments and update this already forsaken blog. Haha! I’m just saying. :hide:

Have a great day. =)

I love reading mommy moments Jane. More more more.

Marcus love gravy, but Matt doesn't. They both do not like soup, much to my dismay because I love soup..heheh..
