my bit of mai's yummy spanish sardines. =)
At home is where you let your guards down. At home is where you are most vulnerable.
This is why I truly respect other people if ever they choose me not to be in their homes; and I truly feel grateful and honored if ever they invite me in their homes.
On Sunday, we pigged out at Mai’s lovely, cozy home in honor of T’s premature departure (hmph!). We had the best ‘home-made’ lunch ever. Way char. The baked chicken was tasty, juicy, and oh-so-tender. The hot sardines were amazing (to think she used bodboron!). Boy, was I glad to bring some home. My parents are raving about it. And the fried lumpia and Tilapia are now my husband’s favorites. :hide: Now, it’d be a challenge to learn to cook them. Ikaw jud nakaingon ani, Mai. Hihi.
Well, the kids in the house had a riot in one of the rooms. I just hope they didn’t, especially our hyper little girl, make enough damage. :hide: The little girl was so happy. She got to take home some goodies, and a ‘car’ (much to Mai’s dismay on her choice. Haha! Bugay jud.)
And the girls in the house, you know how we “talk”. LOL! I got sleepy-eyed in one of those moments. That’s what happens when you’re so full and happy.
Thank you, Mai. =)
I can be very shy, but at the same time I can be very sure of myself. :hide: Would that ever be possible? LOL! I guess I have to leave it with how a housemate once described me. She said I am not shy. I’m just reserved.
Shy or not, confident or not, reserved or not, there’s an advantage to this especially at work; yet there’s the disadvantage to this especially in meeting new people.
When I first met Mai, I thought I saw a goddess. She was breathtakingly beautiful, as in. I was star-struck, really, and sadly I stopped there, struck in awe, because at that point in my life, there were just so many things going on, so many things to think about, and so many things to do. That would call for another blog entry I won’t write of course but I’d gladly share with Mai and a few. I owe you, Mai. =)
So fast-forward to more than a year after we first met, the next thing I knew, she thought I didn’t like her at all. I had mixed feelings when I knew about it. At first, I laughed because I cannot dislike someone whom I've always wanted to get to know but just haven’t had the chance; and then I felt sad: chances are I always give that impression to anyone. Waaah! :hide:
But I hope now, Mai, you know the real thing. Thank you. =)
