because it's so hot

This summer is probably the hottest one I’ve ever had.

On weekends, especially long ones, it’s just impossible to laze around the bed until mid-morning without a shower. :hide: It’s just so hot you can’t procrastinate taking a bath, unless, you run the air-conditioner all day long and be ready to get surprised by the electric bill. Toinks. Well, surely, I’m not one ready for that kind of surprise. Haha!

And so we get a little concerned for the little girl. We had to make sure she’s hydrated all the time, and is not sweating all over. Kung sa kinaraan pa, dili magbasa labi na ang bungkog. Hihi. We also had to make sure she enjoys summer even while spending it at home. Though malls are quite a happy place for her, it’s just not practical for us not to mention it’s getting too crowded that it can get surprisingly hot and really stressful most of the time.

So on that long weekend, we took out her old, tiny swimming pool and filled it with just enough water. She had a great time. =) If only the pool was a lot bigger, I would’ve been tempted to join her. Hihihi. She looked forward to the bath every morning since then.

She's so excited for it that she insists she “take a ba-bath outside!” even when it’s no longer a weekend and we don’t have all the free time in the world to let her soak in the water for a long time (or else we’d be late for her summer class and my work). So now, there’s this negotiation thing going on. We had to drag this tiny pool in the bathroom tub to convince her to take a bath inside. Pastilan. Hehe.

The little girl in her little pool = happiness!

Jane, Allysa had something similar too, when she was a lot smaller, and we lived in Cebu. I think it's almost a MUST. =)
