s-phase-ous

I am in this phase where I’m meeting new people in various stages (age– and job–wise) in their lives. As late bloomer as this may sound, I have to say I’m amazed.

It is in their silence that I get to see how often they blink their eyes, massage their chin, and type on their keyboard like that when you tap your hands and feet to the music. Every gray hair I see on their heads I see as every grain of knowledge acquired to each light bulb moments they experience that probably happens almost all the time in their silence. It is in this silence I want to be air or the teeniest tiniest particle floating from side to side or Mr. Mayor of the Whos that Horton heard of. Then, I can go through their ears as they listen intently or through their nose as they try to hold their breath or through their mouth as they let out a sigh into the insides of their heads and see what’s happening. I’m sure to be electrified and die, but it’s between getting there and dying that’d always tempt me: what I’d witness.

In the brilliance of them all, I want to be a part of. For in this brilliance, I am challenged to think what is otherwise and still get on with life but see things in different lights. It’s no longer ‘you get what you deserve’ but ‘you get what you get’; it’s no longer just ‘accept because it’s the nature of something’ but ‘accept because it’s the nature of something, but work on improving it’; and it’s no longer just ‘acknowledging the things you cannot control’ but ‘acknowledging the things you cannot control and formulating an appreciative response.’

This is me documenting this point in my life for I don’t want it all to get lost in the air, going into everyone’s insides except mine.
