I remember that scene from the movie, Eat, Pray, Love where Elizabeth, her lawyer, and her husband were in the same room on a divorce procedure. At some point, Elizabeth mentioned his many dreams and that he only has to choose one, and his husband shouted at her, “I choose you!”
Well, that scene was probably touching, but I’m not going to talk about it. I’m just going to touch a little on that ‘many dreams’ and agree that sometimes it’s always easier to choose and chase one. But then you won’t probably get me and you don’t really have to. Whether we have many dreams or not, it’s really beside the point I’m trying to get at (that is, if ever I’d get there. No, not my dreams, but the point of this writing. Lol!)
We hear so many things about dreams: how we can make them anchors of our lives, how it can all come true, and so forth. But we don’t really hear much about our 'purpose', do we?
We may probably have made our dreams come true: get to here and there, acquire this and that, do this and that. But where is the sense of everything if along the way we hurt and lose ourselves, and the people that (were supposed to) matter to us? We (must) have one heck of a purpose to live for, haven't we?
