khandi's 4th bday

Yesterday, we celebrated my eldest daughter’s 4th birthday.

The plan was very simple: celebrate it by serving snacks to her nursery classmates and distribute loot bags. Unfortunately, the weekend before her birthday, it was Sinulog and my parents and sister (with her family) were here. Everything went chaotic that I didn’t have the chance to prepare for the loot bags. So the plan was to celebrate her birthday next week. But a miscommunication botched the plan. :hide:

The result: we only had two hours to prepare for the celebration.

But it went well, and I’m so glad it did. And if there’s anything I learned from this experience, then that would be kids are so easy to please. Nobody should ever get stressed out when it comes to kiddie parties. =) Yet, if you really want things to be better, there's always next year. =)

Her Nursery classmates sang the birthday song as she turns around the globe 4 times.

Four times because on that day she "turns" 4 years old. hehe.
She got shy along the way. haha!

She was made to sit in front of the "steps" (where her classmates were sitting).

She blew the candle on her mini-cake (I know! lol!) but to no avail.
A classmate helped her even without being asked. haha!

Aren't they cute eating on their own? and what could ever go wrong with Spaghetti? =)

She was so happy she gamely posed...

and posed. haha!

She had cookies for giveaways.

Nagkagubot kadiyot! So cute! =)

As a mother, it was happiness to see my child have that celebration with her class. No matter how simple it is. =) Also, it was happiness to see the other kids. They'd easily say "wow" and "yum-yum" that all your worries just disappear reminding you it shouldn't have been there in the first place. :hide: Some of the kids were so sweet they'd come up to you so you can open their cookie’s wrapper. Haha! I am also grateful for the teachers who have been very kind and sweet. If you could read this, thank you. =)

Most importantly, the birthday girl Khandi had so much fun! When I asked her if she enjoyed her birthday, she replied, “Thanks, Mom. I love you, Mom.” =)
