daughters

I know that a parent can only do so much for his or her children.

With this, I believe a parent’s love for his or her daughters (children) includes planting a set of seeds for self-esteem here and there;
throw in some: it’s self–confidence and thrown in some more: it’s self–respect;
water them but not to drown; expose them to sun but not to burn; and take out troublesome weeds the soonest.

Then maybe, less and less parents would worry and regret for daughters being shortchanged in love.
